Blue turning grey over you- Bob Erwig's jazz
In 1982 after 10 years in Climax Jazz Band I asked several of my music friends who would sit in as substitutes when our regular members would take a night off. Some of these men had different style approaches and I liked the idea of getting away from the Climax Jazzbands way of playing and see what they could do as a different team together. For the occasion I rented a professional studio and got together a band with guitar, piano, no trombone and a few extra reedplayers ,as well as myself.
Here is the result: Dave Flowitt piano, Mike Walmsley guitar, Ron Johnson bass, Brian Ogilvie tenor sax, Mike Ludlow tenor sax on second half, Mick Lewis clarinet and Bob Erwig trumpet.
Lovely relaxing music,,,just take a nice easy chair,a glass of wine, close your eyes and drift away,,,10 outa 10 Bob.
