The rest will be uploaded sometime before Sunday. I hope

I also apologize for any sound issues/bad editing. Will work on that in the future. Promise.

  • I was slightly wary when I saw sweeney todd and the sound of music on your list, but I have to admit that i agree with all of your critiques.

Personally, I might have put Grease higher on the list- wayyy overplayed. And now I have to listen to the school version for hours on end this semester...at least, I have comfort knowing I am not alone in my disgust and I can refer to it as 'soap suds'

hehe, great job, looking forward to the next one

  • Yeah, I was really unsure of Sweeney Todd being on the list. But SERIOUSLY the Sound of Music on stage isn't nearly as good as the film.

The thing about Grease is you either HATE it or LOVE it. I've rarely met someone in the middle, which is where I am. Have fun with "Soap Suds."

That would be fun, when we talk about school's production we could just refer to it as soap suds to confuse people.

  • shut up :)

  • No one ever diss Swenney Todd!!! It's the the most brilliant musical ever! If you dare diss it, I think it's time for a shave -:)

  • appreciate all your opinions! but john larson did NOT die of AIDS

  • Peter Pan- Peter Pan is for both boys and girls. Peter Pan was not about the horrors of growing up, it was about charishing childhood, so when you do grow up you do not loose the part of you that is fun and free, which is a theme related to childhood. Again the clapping was to furthur a theme and heklp the children and adult grasp that you should never loose your childhood. Tinkerbell represents the 'dying' part of you that is your childhoos happieness.

  • I agree with you on Sound of Music

42nd street is suppossed to be a fun extravigant musical that is just dancing. No one thinks it shoudl be anything more than fun, good dancing.

Grease is true, but again just another fun over the top musical comedy.

  • RENT- Cont. The writer was not dying of AIDS as epiccathh already said. But, he did not know about his condition until way after he wrote the musical.A few songs were written while he knew he was sick. And it is only looked upon as knew becuase of the way it was portrayed, not the subject matter in the play.

  • RENT- I completely agree with you that the first act is GREAT!But, I do not think you grapsed the meaning of Act 2.The plot makes perfect sense. It is best explained as disorginized organization.Everything falls apart becuase their lives falls apart.

  • I do NOT agree with anything, and I am going to rant aswell.

Sweeny Todd- You can't use the 'everybody likes it, so i dont' excuse. People loved Sweeny Todd, and it got a lot of exposer, but it got just as much as every other Johnny Depp, Tim Burton musical got too.

  • You are right about most of the RENT part. Hair did come up with race and sex first, its just RENT feels more real then Hair.

and Jonthan Larson was NOT dying of AIDS. He died from a heart thingy before its performance on broadway(?) not sure about that. The reason it falls apart is because Angel dies. and Angel really only makes the musical what it is. But you must know that this was Jonthan Larson's life. He based it off of his friends and the life he lived. Sorry about that =/

  • Rent is the best musical ever. You didn't get it bitch :)
