Nine Elms lane has cycle paths on the pavement. But it is the typical poor design of cycle path which vanishes with no dropped curb for getting back on the road.
still, better than the east bound. or southbound battersea park road which is goodish, but hasn't been repainted in a decade so everyone uses the road. the US embassy was going to put in a new cycle road iwith new cycle bridge between 9elms and wandsworth road to link in with the excellent cycle lane south of the doddington estate by the train tracks until wandsworth bridge. but they've forgotten about it now.
@drsquirrel0 Not just the posts. The way the cycle lane just stops at junctions, with no indication of who should give way to who, the way it comes straight back on to the road, the way it stops at the bus stop, probably resulting in people cycling through a crowd of people... The list goes on and on
I thought about this... the lines around the post, they don't give adequate space to show a safety margin, they really should be wider than the posts.
But then along comes a post with no markings...
...is anyone willing to sacrifice a bit of time and injury to pile into one of these just to make a point? :p
More dangerous to use that than the road, what with all the lampposts, pavement clutter, and having to rejoin the road at dangerous points (junctions etc).
Has to be the most piss poor excuse for a bike lane I've ever seen.

Piss-poor, in other words.

There's a perfectly good bus lane there :/ Why would they even bother?

That is very similar to Swindon, paint a white line down the middle of a path and then call it a cycle path.
