ONE NIGHT...JENNIFER TAKES NEEDY TO SEE AN INDIE ROCK BAND...BUT TROUBLES ARISE WHEN THE SINISTER ROCKERS SACRIFICE JENNIFER TO THE DEVIL...YOU SEE...THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO SACRIFICE A VIRGIN...AND JENNIFER...IS ANYTHING BUT...WHAT WERE THEY THINKING?

SO NOW...A DEMON IS CHANNELED INTO JENNIFER AND SHE BECOMES A MANEATER...WATCH OUT BOY SHE'LL CHEW YOU UP!

THIS GOOD GIRL VERSUS BAD GIRL FILM IS TOO OBVIOUS TO BE A SMART SATIRE...TOO PASSIVE TO BE AN ALLEGORY...TOO GENERIC TO PASS AS AN ORIGINAL...AND I'M VERY DISAPPOINTED BECAUSE DIABLO CODY...THE SCRIPTWRITER OF JUNO...WROTE THIS FILM AND SHE WAS EVEN THE EXECUTIVE PRODUCER...DIRECTOR KARYN KUSAMA MADE A BY-THE-NUMBERS FILM THAT LACKS BITE! IT'S ALL ABOUT THE BODY...BUT WHERE'S THE HEART?

THERE ARE STILL SOME SMART DIALOUGES THOUGH...AND THE CHEMISTRY BETWEEN SEYFRIED AND FOX IS PALPABLE...

"Too passive to be an allegory"? "Where is the heart"? "Needy appropriately named 'Needy'"?

Wow, Manny, your review smells of musty ignorance. A) - Needy being nicknamed "Needy" is the product of IRONY. B) - The "allegory" of this film AGGRESSIVELY (not passively) sheds a light on the horrendous emotional violence of adolescence <---something that went over an ASTONISHING number of critics' heads! C) - "Heart"? HEART is what this film champions MOST. Not laughs, not scares. Emotional drama

I get the irony, I get the allegory, I get Diablo Cody, but Jennifer's Body, sadly, is not a great movie! I know what the filmmakers want as far as teenage angst and the emotional violence brought to and in some cases, by, adolescence, but the film did not go there completely. I even tried to re-watch this movie after the Toronto International Film Festival to give it a second go, but it became more laughable to me.

If you want an allegorical, or heck, even ironic look at high school and monsters representing teenage angst, look no further than the far superior Buffy the Vampire Slayer tv series!

the idea of this movie was cool,but it was to be developed into a more mature way,instead of making a fuckin teenager story for storytellin kids.the only decent thing of this movie is megan fox,wich makes it become as big as a skycraper(you already understood what,yes?),the rest is zero,nothing,a fail.
