  • @jdoucetable that's one of my big projects for next year. :-)

  • I loved that you showed Mariah Carey at the end instead of that wannabe star lol

  • @SchoolRumbleX yes, i filter out that "fetus" as i will never allow "her" to appear on my channel. :-)

The UK charts are a different matter. Nearly every year sees a "Christmas Song" at #1, thanks to BBC Radio being heard nationally.

  • @vjmsecond Actually, no. Only 1942 ("White Christmas" by Bing Crosby) and 1952 ("I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus" by Jimmy Boyd) were Christmas themed.

  • This is so interesting, how music changes thru the years. =)

  • Surprisingly (or I guess not really "surprisingly" if you're aren't of age to collect Social Security) ... only one of these songs can actually be called a Christmas song., and it's the very first (i.e., the oldest). I think if one were to do either a chart sweep of the #1s on Christmas Day of previous 20 years in the US, or even the British charts over this past half-century, you'd find many if not most #1s had some relationship to the Christmas or New Year's season.

  • Empire State of Mind & (Part 2) is gonna be Classic...
