Classic Game Room HD - EINHANDER for Playstation review Pt1

Part 1 of 2. Classic Game Room was the FIRST classic video game review show on the Internet in 1999. Returning in 2008 with new episodes, Classic Game Room breaks out a review of EINHANDER for the Sony Playstation 1 (which means one hander in German). Is this the best game on the PS1? For that matter, is Einhander the best side scrolling shooter SHMUP ever made? As far as shmups go, Einhander is a maniac shooting game set in a 2d horizontal scrolling distopian future with the feel of Blade Runner. It uses 3d elements and pushed the PSX to its limits with incredible graphics, gameplay, sound and replay value. Einhander is a side scroller like Gradius III IV or V, Thunder Force or Life Force. But this game is different because it uses gunpods and the mechanized arm that controls them. It's amazing and regarded by some as the best shooter ever made. It also has a light saber, homing missiles and a foxy announcer who teached you things in the training seminar. This game should be remade in 2008, 2009 or 2010 as a Playstation 3 PS3 game or something for Xbox Live Arcade.

I have a demon for the first level, and I have always wanted this. Why don't they re-release this on a collection disc? I mean, PS1 Classics! Come on! Genisis does it, why not PS!

Unlockable ships : A: unkown fighter , levels up weapons when it picks up a gun pod and looks like small police car.

B: serene , can use any weapon including juno and flash beat game on hard mode to unlock.

I ate this game up when I was a kid, I finished it completely secret ships and all. I still have it to this day case and manual, this is truly an over looked gem. The music, style, controls, gameplay fantastic I don't remember any lag when the game starts getting brutal around stage four
