listen everyone this is about cricket catches not about ww1 or ww2 . . . what about the falklands war when we kicked some argie butt and the smelly frenchies were selling excocet missiles to them and the R.A.F. never lost an aircraft in combat ( they would have done so to so called friendly fire if the thicko yanks had been involved ) anyway enjoy the cricket video folks :-)
and ya countries would not have??? come on now, any country selling arms would sell them to any one, i bet if iran wanted to buy a wmd off of uk for the right price i bet you they would get it. so don't even try it
Key word is selling arms. You would have probably sold to Hitler if the money was right. The only reason America got directly involved was because of Pearl Harbour, the Japs pulled you in. Also while I agree the French could not protect a dung heap I would not include the British, they held back the Axis forces for years before the yanks got involved. They did this even though the UK is an ISLAND and the USA is practically a CONTINENT. If you knew your geography you would have known that.
I come on expecting to see comments about which catches should be rated at the top and instead I see people are fighting about who did what in WWII?? WTF ??
Err... Wrong, I believe. Ever heard of the Battle of Britain? Probably one of the most important events of the war. True, it was a close run affair, but hell, Britain was still defended.
Also you speak of the horrors of ww1. The true horrific battles, Paschendale, Somme and Verdun, happened long before the Americans joined the war. The Americans only joined once the Germans were starving and demoralised. Having fresh troops whilst the enemy doesn't is a good cause of victory.
@brownajr funny thing is, America wanted nothing to do with wars, thats why there where selling arms to the British, but yet the British, french, ect, cant defend there countries to save there lives, the ended up getting pounded, america stood out of the war, because of the horrors, of world war 1, thats why they did not get involved in the beginning of the war. If you know history you would have known that.
Actually after practicing catching barehanded hundreds of times, the nerve endings in your hand are pretty much dead. Can still break your hand though if you dont catch it properly.
