@thenintendogamer Boston fans hate the Lakers because of the city they represent. L.A. is the opposite of Boston. L.A. is looked at as full of glitz and glamour and money.....with players who do a lot of running and jumping with a lot of flash. Boston is a tough working class city with tough players......we looked at Philly as the same as us.....a tough working class city with tough players. Plus in NBA history we always beat the Lakers and they always stood between us and the championship.

"Beat LA" not sure how Celtic fans hated the Lakers at that time, they hadn't met in the Finals until 2 years later. And not since 1969.
