are the pickups really worth the moeny?

Well, they came with the guitar but I don't think they would to a great difference if you've already got the standard pick ups... but I could be wrong :)

I'm not sure, but there's a video of a guy playing a mexican strat with custom 69s pick ups, he might give you a better answer :)
