The Scenic Railway at Katoomba, December 2011. Full journey up in HD.
Originally used by miners, it is now a tourist attraction and is apparently the steepest railway in the world. A drop of over 400 meters and at times an angle of 52 degrees. The best experience is to walk down the Furber Steps and catch the railway back up, altho not recommended for unfit people. Now if you ARE very fit, the run down the Furber Steps, across the Jamison Valley and back up the Great Stairway is very recommended. However you must be very fit, the Great Stairway is difficult at the best of times
