Please don't leave a young puppy on its own like this, apart from injuring itself Papillons really need company, they are adorable but highly sensitive dogs. If you must work all day, why not get two for company? When crate training a puppy, always use a crate with a top, never just a playpen, you can get canvas playpens now with a zip off mesh lid and mesh "windows" in the side - much safer.

@papsally I had bichon frise who broke 2 crates and when I would tell pppl about Jasper braking out of his crates they wouldn't believe me until film it and even the vet was so suprise that a bichon frise was able to tear a metal crat until my wife and I out smarted him and go thick metal crate and he could brake the crate anymore...I miss hm R.I.P Jasper mom & daddy will always luv u baby, no other dog will ever take your place.

Be Careful! My first Min Pin broke his tiny leg doing that and had to have a plate and six screws put on the bone. He was only 3 pounds. It costs $3,000 13 years ago... BE CAREFUL your baby doesn't get hurt!!!

i tried so many different setups and my pap got out of every one, finally decided just to let him have the run of the house. Luckily he only likes paper so the house just looks like a shredder exploded if he finds something to play with. There could be worse things i guess ; )
