On the South Coast of New South Wales thousands of hectares of native forests are being clearfelled every year. The Forestry Commission of NSW, trading as Forests NSW, descriptions for these practices vary from 'Single Tree Selection - Heavy' to 'Australian Group Selection' to 'Modified Shelter Wood', yet they all amount to clearfelling or patch clearfelling on the ground. Old-growth, rainforest and mature age forests are being logged at an unsustainable rate. Eighty five percent of trees felled are turned into woodchips, either at the Eden chipmill or at the various saw mills on the South Coast and then trucked down to the chipmill.

  • @username92840We understand your need to lie,but you and I know the truth.Kiah store made quite a bit of money that day.Further what were you doing around the tripod base-hmm?Three small saplings can hardly compare to hundreds of hectares of native forest being clearfelled every week.We took 3 ute loads of rubbish, ours and past campers to the recycling. As for hard working Australians the time is over for making a profit from destroying the planet, our childrens and grandchildrens future.BIOMF!

  • @ImTruckMad Sorry we dont allow swearing on our channel as children visit our site. Could you try that again without the expletives?

  • Dont be fooled. These are not peaceful protesters. They intimidate and provoke hard working Australians. The truck drivers were held up without food or water for 12hrs. The tripod activist threatened to urinate on anyone around the tripod base. These hypocrites even cut down trees to build this tripod. Their temporary campsite was left littered with empty beer bottles and other assorted rubbish for the locals to clean up.
