Music from Australia and New Zealand in the year 1984:
Cold Chisel's promo-video for the hit single 'Flame Trees' (September, 1984) taken from the 1984 album 'Twentieth Century'.
This was to be Cold Chisel's last hit single before the group disbanded.
In 2006, Sarah Blasko recorded a version of this song for the soundtrack to the Rowan Woods film, Little Fish.
Whose version is better? Who cares?

Cold Chisel are a timeless band. One of the last real talents. Maybe not as many kids 'listen' to them these days, but when you play a chisel song, they stand up and listen. And they might not admit it, but they wonder what they missed out on.

As an English guy introduced to them in 1988 - all i can say is they might just be the greatest rock band the world never got to know. They hold many memories for me especially associated witht girl who introduced them to me. Henny I remember you through these guys and the music lives on !!!!!!! I own every damned CD they ever put out and I treasure them all !!! Thanks Australia !!!!!

The girl in the video, Anna Lee, sang at my wedding in June 1983. Lovely gal and has the greatest singing voice herself. Her brother is Mark Lee, who starred in Gallipoli with Mel Gibson.
