Today we are going to install part number 118336 from Tow Ready, and we are going to do this on our 2004 Honda Odyssey. The port where we need to get to the wiring is inside the vehicle, so we need to open up the hatch and get to the inside, drivers side quarter-panel. To get behind our quarter-panel here, we have to get behind this access panel. Pull this loose, so you can undo this one, and then get back behind the wiring harness which is located in this general area, here. And there are a couple of clips back in here, and if you kind of put your fingers in there to work it out, it will come loose. Just keep working it back and forth until you get the brake loose until you get enough to where you can get your hand in there.

Also, if you need more room to get in there, you can actually take out the jack tools there is a little screw right here. Undo that, and that gives you a little more play to pull off the plastic to give yourself a little more more room. If you want to get access to the wire harness, look for this plug right here with the blue tape. That is the tow package port, right there. You simply just take it away from the tape and simply plug in the harness into the port. All right, next you want to take your converter box and just attach it to some of the steel inside of here , or maybe put it behind the sheet metal here, too. At this point, we go ahead and start reassembling our interior panels. When you put your panel back together, make sure that your wire harness comes out toward the bottom, here. And what happens is, when you use it, you pull it out to the hitch on your vehicle.

To use the harness, just pull it out and you can shut your trunk on it, because the door seal here is thick enough where it will not hurt the wire. Just make sure you stay away from the latch, and you pull out as much as you need. And when you are not using it, you simply store the wire harness inside the vehicle.
