In 2008 Georgia cooperatives partnered with the NRECA International Foundation to send volunteers to Ixcan, Guatemala. Their goals were to connect isolated communities to the national grid, as well as to timprove safety and reliability of electricity of those already with service. Over 1,300 residents have benefitted from the hardwork and dedication of the Georgia volunteers.
Beautiful just beautiful. You're the real heroes in this world. And role models for your own children. Hats off to you guys. Rest assured that the people that benefited from your time there will always be very grateful for what you did for them.
