Image Trends Digital ICE Film Restoration

Low priced computer storage, processing and networking have enabled the motion picture world to move to a file-based Digital Intermediate workflow. The limiting factor to this process is how the data is captured from film cleanly, without the dust and scratches that come with wear, age and even the original processing. The ScanMaster 4000 system from Image Trends eliminates this factor by capturing the original images BENEATH that wear and removing the defects, creating a true master file of the original content on each film. During the scanning process our system corrects -- not covers-up - surface defects immediately and is far less expensive than the lowest-cost film restoration method used today.
