Ultimate champion, Ken Jennings returns for his 27th day after winning $828,960. He is up against entrepreneur, Leonard Koss who parachuted, rode a hot air balloon and piloted a sailplane all in just TWO days, and computer programmer, Oliver Mellet who was set up in a blind date and discovered that some opposites don't attract...poor man. At the start of the show, Alex talks of past game show records that includes the longest lasting champion (hint: he's the Navy man who went a big distance on Tic Tac Dough). Full first round here

  • He was co-producing PAX"s On the Cover, which I believe was in first run right around the same time frame. Byron WIlson, five time champ/staffer on syndie Joker's Wild, will finish his game on Millionaire tomorrow that he started on Friday. J! associate producer Harry Eisenberg was on the 8/25/1999 episode of Millionaire but didn't make the Hot Seat.

  • I remember watching this whole run...

  • Audio was recorded with a shower head.

  • @Songsmirth

I thought the same thing. Really wierd story. Also, he comes of as a complete loser - what the fuck was he thinking?

  • @mtiller2006 Ditto. And I don't understand why Oliver brings up this date? Why on earth would he bring that up something so boring and sad in front of millions of people? Why was it SO important to him to be seen as a loser in this fashion? Bugs me to no end. I thought he'd say something like, "then I met her three years later and it was love at first sight. We've never figured out why such a difference!" THAT would be a story worth telling. Not this pathetic thing. Anyone?

  • For the few episodes I saw with Ken, he always looked so tense. :) I wondered at the time how many old friends and family members had started calling him looking for money? lol I bet he got a few. I wonder who was the most strange? (fellow student in the 4th grade and so on). :) / "Easier." Easier than what? / I also wondered if the ones who made up the questions tried to make the more difficult but I wondered too if that was all set up months before? Anyone know?

  • What's with all the weird faces KJ makes

  • Leonard Koss was also a writer for Barry & Enright.
