@uplateweb They did, at least while Kevin Ewbanks remained as bandleader. Kevin wrote the theme and part of his deal was that as long as he was there, they'd use his theme (so he could get paid royalties). When Kevin left in May 2010, Jay and NBC made the same deal with Rickey Minor.

a few nights ago i did a couple jokes while hosting a charity show one was hmm im waiting for jay leno to screw me so nbc will pay me 50 milluin to leave another was im gonna prove tonight a comedian can host a show at primetime just not on nbc i even joke about the woman who married herself when i started to get boos im like yeah like u havent thought about ir come on u even say what are jay and conan whining about i only got one night wheres the fairness in that?

i liked the green card challenge and 10@10 i wish jay would do those bits agian jay had a good primetimeshow it needed a better timesot is all and there was no need for jay to take back the tonightshow he promised it to conan
