  • this game came out on msx palcom laser disc alslo

  • YOU WIN THA PRIZE!

  • They need to put Sega games like this one on Microsoft's Game Room app on Xbox 360 and Windows PC.

  • I don't know.

And, if it doesn't include the LaserDisc footage, it can't even be close to arcade accurate.

  • Didn't they make this game for one of the Sega home consoles? (if so, was it anywhere close to being arcade accurate?)

  • 1983 or so..and yes laser disc game...i liked the graphics on this one , but everytime i played it i was always dead in 30 seconds, standing there dumbfounded like Wth just happened? obviously i never grasped this one..tho i liked other LD games like Dragon's Lair, Space Ace, And Dragon's Lair II-timewarp.

  • @hilarioph

    No.

Some movie footage used in the game was from a film by Toei.

Astron Belt was made by Sega.

  • I remember playing this as a kid! The japanese film this game "borrowed" from was Message From Space with Sonny Chiba and also Roger Corman's film Battle Beyond the Stars. The Wrath of Khan scenes are pretty obvious. They were all in this games attract mode.

  • @yaywhewclips242

Ya gotta be kidding. That was f'ing hot!

  • Actually, Quarter Horse was the first arcade to use laserdiscs, not this game.
