Turns out if an iPod Touch was built in the USA, it would cost on $50 more retail than the iPod Touch that is manufactured in China. Part of the problem is that companies like Apple are motivated to keep cash overseas, to avoid high corporate tax rates. The question is: would lowering corporate tax rates bring those dollars back, and possibly bring back manufacturing? Leave a comment with your thoughts!
