http://facebook.com/jenniferburgessfitness http://JenniferBurgessFitness.com Beachbody Coaching. What is IS. And what it ISN'T.

Hi. Jennifer Burgess here. I am here to tell you the TRUTH about Beachbody Coaching. The stuff you WON'T hear on any other coach videos or websites. The nitty gritty... so come with me on my journey from skeptic to coach!

First off, I LOVE Beachbody's products! And if you know me personally, this has been no secret over the last six years. Yep! For SIX YEARS I have ordered everything from Slim in 6 to Turbo Jam to Power Half Hour to P90X to Insanity to ChaLEAN Extreme to TurboFire... and I have been recommending each and every one of them to friends, family and personal training clients depending on their goals and interests.

So one day I heard about TurboFire, a new Chalene Johnson program that was coming out some time in the summer of 2010. I couldn't find much info on it ANYWHERE, so I went to the TurboFire fan page on Facebook and posted a question about the release date. Within minutes, I had all kinds of scary, sneaky coaches messaging me with stuff like "You want TurboFire!? You can only get it through ME! And I can save you 25%! Join now. Join now. Join now!" Ummmm, NO THANK YOU, you stalkers! From that day forward, any time I would post on a P90X page or a Turbo Jam Page or whatever, I would get these crazed coaches beating down my door and begging me to buy from them or be a coach under them. I don't know about YOU, but I hate being "sold." So even though I have a love of fitness, and a love for Beachbody, a passion for helping people - all the elements that make a great, successful coach - I was 100% turned off on this coaching idea. Who WERE these people anyway? How could they help ME with fitness and weight loss. And besides, wasn't this just one of those - dun dun dun - PYRAMID SCHEMES!?!

Flash forward several months down the road. I was still OBSESSED with finding more info on TurboFire! I Googled it one day and "voila!" a YouTube video link popped up! It was a sneak peak from... you guessed it... one of those "Crazy" Beachbody coaches. Only... wait a minute... this girl didn't seem crazy at all. In fact, the more I learned about her on her YouTube videos and Facebook the more I liked her. She was my kind of girl! I thought all Beachbody coaches were supposed to wear fins on their backs and go patrolling the waters for poor defenseless fitness-lovers like me! Then I realized that this girl was the RULE, not the exception to the rule. Those crazy coaching sharks were the EXCEPTION. They just happened to make the biggest splash in the water and got my attention first. Then I realized that Beachbody coaching was this incredible network of people from all walks of life who share two things in common: a love of fitness and a passion for helping others. Some coaches are fitness professionals like me, but the majority of coaches are people who are on their fitness journey just like all of the rest of us. They are there to help with the Beachbody products, sure, but they are also there to be an accountability partner and a motivator.

Although I love my job, I could also use some extra moola. Who couldn't!? I mean, really!? If you just said "not me" under your breath, then I hate to tell you that you are lying my friend! Hmmm... how to make extra cash on the side? What can I do that I will enjoy and that is flexible and fun? What could it be???? Oh wait - what about that Beachbody Coaching thing!?!? DING DING DING! I already recommend these products and love all this stuff anyway, and it's only like $40 to join as a coach so why not give it a try for a bit and see what happens?

Well, folks, the rest is history! Since becoming a coach, my life has been transformed. I get the satisfaction of knowing that I am helping others; I get to meet all kind of people that love fitness as much as I do; and, I am bringing in some extra cash on top of it all! I don't have to do home parties if I don't want to. I don't have to be a "used car salesman" and yell into your face. I just have to be me and help others. And I get PAID to do this! Oh, and P.S., it's not a pyramid scheme. It's totally legit. So there, haters!

So if you have made it all the way to the end of this video and you're even slightly interested in becoming a coach and joining my team, I would be more than happy to send you some information. Just email me at jennifer.m.burgess@gmail.com or visit my website at www.JenniferBurgessFitness.com. And if you watched this and got all creeped out and think I'm crazy, well, that's ok, too... cuz if you can't appreciate my warped sense of humor I'm probably not the best up line coach for you anyway. Thanks for watching, and I hope to work with some of you in the near future!

  • Not a Pyramid, but you say upline coaches...bit confusing there. Like your video though :)

  • @NewYears1978 Happy to clarify. :) The "shape" of the organization is kind of like a big web. And yes, there are people on the "top" of the web and people on the "bottom" of the web. But the shape of the visual structure of the organization isn't what a pyramid refers to. The fact that someone "under" someone else can make more money is one thing. Another is that you don't get paid just for signing people up on your team. Pyramids usually focus just on that and not product.

  • @JennBurgessFit Thanks for the clarification :) Makes sense...and I appreciate you joyfulness in replying without being a jerk as others might. Well done :)

  • @NewYears1978 Not a problem. I had my own reservations about it and really did my research, so I don't take offense when someone else questions it in the same way. Are you looking into being a coach or just stumbled upon the video?

  • @JennBurgessFit I am about to do my first run of P90X actually. Not coach material yet. Just as I was looking around at diff things I ended up on all kinds of stuff...P90X scam, Shakology Scam..this and that. Funny since all I was doing was research on P90X (watching people's success vids) I did 3 weeks but wasn't following the diet plan. Decided that won't work, starting over Monday...and doing the diet plan :) I find it so hard to do the nutrition..I stink at it.

  • @NewYears1978 I'm starting a challenge group for several guys doing P90X. No cost to join. Just online accountability with other people who are doing the same program. Any interest?

And yes, we can do all the exercise in the WORLD... but our best ab work is still done in the kitchen. ;)
