This is a platform game that I am currently working on. What you see in the movie is an almost completed first stage of the game. The music played is not meant for the stage in question, but for the game map, so if it feels out of place it's because... it's out of place :)

The game is made in Multimedia fusion 2, a game development program that makes the programming part of game creation easier. I like it a lot, since I prefer to focus on stuff like creating graphics, music and a working game engine with physics, rather than spending hours on making a program even display pictures and play sound.

In the near future I hope to have a playable demo available for download.

  • Hey uploader (if you're still there) interested in joining a small group of game developers ?

If yes, read more on my YouTube profile.

  • @bennettbugs making VB a lot faster, but for beginners I recommend GDI+ which is using the built in drawing functions that are used with Windows. This is very inefficient, but is very easy.

  • @bennettbugs No. It's a very basic language. It's not designed and not really recommended for making games, but several wonderful RPGs and MMOs have been made with it. I also started with Visual Basic, and it helped me learn a LOT about programming. The downsides of Visual Basic are that it's not very powerful, and it cannot create games for Macs/Linux without them having to use an external program. You can use DirectX with it, allowing efficiency in graphics and making VB a lot-(continued)

  • @DrunkenWaffle Is visual basic like a Visual library, like openGL or SDL?

  • You should really try some programming. I, too, am like you. I like to make graphics and music(although I'm not too good at music. ;P). You have great ideas for games. Your description of programming sounds more like something like C++, for learning how to use a library and display pictures takes quite a bit of effort and time. But if you start with easier languages like Visual Basic or Python, it's not very hard. I suggest you try them. Once you get passed the basics and tutorials, it's a blast

  • FAAAAN vad awesome!!

  • could i beta test it :)

  • looks impossible

  • ME WANT

  • Very nice work Yima. I am proud of you sooo much!! Keep it up
