I didn't go into too much detail on this topic because I didn't really have enough time. I just talked about a few key points that are in blatant opposition to scripture, feel free to do more research on this new-age "Church" phenomenon. And when I say research, I really mean do you research.

Let me say one thing first, the bible is the infallible divinely inspired word of God and we need to go to that as our source for all things...IN CONTEXT! We can't twist scriptures around to suit our own needs or "Christian Universalism".
There is no place in the bible where it says "everyone will be saved" ...no where.

I have given up responding to your posts on this video because I think many of you just want to argue...I beg and plead with you. Please pray and ask God to show you the truth.
This whole argument dates back to the beginning of creation which was started by satan in the garden when he said to Eve, "Did God really say, 'You must not eat from any tree in the garden'?" . Ever since, universalism poses this same question..."Did God really say, did Jesus really mean this...? Is the bible really true? ". If we read earlier we find that, YES, God did in fact say to Adam and Eve to not eat from the tree of knowledge of good and evil (Genesis 2) he commanded this.

:(
Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, (I cor 6:9)

envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. (Gal 5:21)

Someone once said to me as their argument, Hell is not mentioned in the old testament. Obviously, this person did not read the bible and I'm not sure which false prophet claimed this to be true. Because it is mentioned, and prophsied about much like heaven, and the return of the messiah. What the bible says is true, when it says not all shall inherit the kingdom of God, this is not figurative...this is not fictional...this is truth. Why would God almighty want unholy people, who hate him and despise his name....to live with him in heaven, for all eternity, especially since he is JUST and righteous, and sovereign, and Holy?

For Lack of Knowledge My People Perish (Hosea 4:6)

  • A perfect God does not have human failures, such as wrath, jealousy, or hatred. In this the bible is wrong. Those categories describe a false God. As Bart Ehrman concluded, the bible is not the word of God, it is only the word of man. A book so full of contradiction and error should not be confused with anything God would write. God does not write books, He writes in His creation.

  • @k0smon

maybe you should read the full thing one day and find out that it's not full of contradiction. ;)

Or hey, better idea...maybe YOU should re-write the bible.

  • @ComoEstas15

First of all, have you read the Old testament? I have a Hebrew Tanakh if you want to take a look at it. There's more scriptures describing "hell" than heaven! Some verses in "Hebrew" may not say hell, but still allude to a place of God's wrath and contempt:: Etc., Daniel 12:2 says "abhorrence" in Hebrew. In Deut 32:22 it says "nether-world" which is similar to "the underworld" and as a place for God's kindling fire. Psalm 55:15, Ezekiel 31:16 describes "hell" as a pit/underworld.

  • Context is key and context is why i am a Universalist, of course i do not worship the Bible but rather the living God of the bible...anyway, see ya in heaven!

  • Your doing a good work Sis, its true there alot of greasy slope doctrines out there including Universalists, Inclusionists, and the modern secular friendly churches.

Sadly alot of folks will miss out on the rapture and realize to late that they we're deceived.

  • Rom 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

  • "Do good to those who hate you..." cannot = Destroy those who don't believe in you. It is mathematically impossible. The word Babylon means "confusion by mixture" Think about it. Babylon is the book....Mercy cannot = Destroy those who don't believe.....There are two in the field. The true and false image of God. The field is the WORD.

  • @marlessangela ::: I have one I think is much better than the Christian bible. It is called "Oahspe"

  • Scripture that supports universal salvation include: Matthew 18:21-22; Luke 15:3-6; John 12:32; John 12:46-47; Romans 5:18; Romans 8:38-39; Philippians 2:10-11; 1 Peter 3:18-20; 4:6; Colossians 1:19-20; 1Timothy 2:4-6; and 1 John 2:1-2.

  • thank you for the vid marless. i felt about the same way conc. univ. not long ago. it was actually through studying the scripture and looking up the orig. Grk words for hell and eternal etc that changed my mind. I realised it's not enough to just have a version or translation easy to understand but we need to be willing to check up on the translators. thankfully it is easy to do today! B4 u right off univ. off as heritics take an honest look into why they believe as they do. wishi had sooner

  • 1Timothy 4:10 "This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance. For to this end we both labor and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Savior of ALL men, ESPECIALLY of those believing. These things command and teach."

Romans 5:18"For just as through the disobedience of the one man the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one man the many will be made righteous" In the end ALL ALL ALL AAAAAAAAALLLLL WILL BE SAVED

  • @marlessangela :::To read the whole thing would just enforce my opinion. See Bart Ehrmans book "Jesus, Interrupted". He spells out the contradictions. If I rewrote the bible, would you believe it? I have a book I treat as a bible, it is a book called Oahspe which you have never heard of. Religion is simple, and does not need a bible. It is stated in Micah 6:8. I will just use that one verse for my whole bible.
