Wood is naturally anti-bacterial. Some of you sound like the kind of person that wouldn't eat your grandmothers food today because she tastes it with the stirring spoon. Plus, other than industrial ground beef and turkey, which no one in their right mind should use, more food born illness is transmitted by raw veggies. So, ya, maybe I want to keep my meat away from the veggie cutting board...
