it seems to me from watching this video that him not having arms and legs gives him somewhat of an advantage wrestling in that his opponent has little to grab on to and he can easily escape from underneath and get the opponents back, but the disadvantages probably even out the advantage of having little to no limbs

got to respect the guys courage though

To think that he has a physical advantage is nuts. His advantage comes from hard work and creatively finding novel ways to succeed given his particular circumstances.

I heard about this guy and before I watched this video I could not even imagine how a quad amputee could pin someone in a wrestling match. That takes a lot of skill! Complete respect!

I think it's not fair. It makes it harder to take him down because he has no legs or arms. But props to him he has a big heart.

@Easy11019 you also didnt mention how wrestling is a weight sport... maynard has to be the same weight as his oponent.. so then he is smaller, more compact, muchhhh more stronger than his oponents, and harder to lift

@Easy11019 Not to mention that without the weight of his arms and legs, he is wrestling fighters that would normally be smaller then him in terms of size and weight. You can see that his core is really strong compared to the other kids.
