  • Every kid in hockey wanted to be Bobby Orr. He was the best there ever was or probably will ever be. He did it with style and grace, a respectable human being.

  • Unless you saw him play there are no words to describe him dominance. He made Superstars look average. The toughest play in hockey for the last 100 yrs is---getting the puck out of your end. Orr was without peer. Winning the scoring Title, and the Defensive Title, in the same year is like a pitcher winning 35 games and batting .400......Imagine Manning last year in the NFL---also having the most tackles and Interceptions on Defense. Defies the imagination.

  • @StaalRulz2010 lemieux couldnt clean orrs spit off the ground. you have no clue orr was the greatest player to ever play the game period if he played during gretzky and mario you wouldnt know who those two players where end of story

  • @matt75hooper I agree.

  • Bobby Orr: Greatest hockey player EVER! he changed the game single handedly. He played 9 years, 1 Rookie of the Year trophy and 8 straight Norris Trophies (best defenseman), 2 scoring titles (he was a defenseman!) highest single season +- rating in NHL history +124. On and on and on, he was just an incredible player. Orr just completely changed the way the game was played up to that point and forever after.

  • LOL. Lemieux puts him to shame...

  • Bobby Orr was truly great!!!

  • I was lucky enough to seen Orr play in person. He kicked the crap out of my team, Blues, but it was great to see him play the game the way he did.

  • @matt75hooper those words are as close as its gonna get

    nice description dude

  • @matt75hooper dude you are so right. I feel sorry for the guys who grew up in "generation gretz" all these kiddies who never got a chance to see real hockey. I remember watching hockey when it was still considered a contact sport.
