Chile Quake: Is There Evidence of HAARP?

At 3:00 am on February 27, a magnitude 8.8 earthquake hit Chile. Tere was extensive damage and over 700 people had been found dead by the next day. Naturally, a lot of conspiracy-incluned folks started to speculate that this could have, once again, been the work of HAARP or some other tectonic weapon.
Against tectonic weapon: HAARP induction magnetometer shows no suspicious activity. Chile is a natural earthquake zone and has experienced quakes as high as mag 9.5 in the past. Flashes seen in sky before quake hit during teh night are known as 'earthquake ligts' and have been documented since long before the HAARP project was even begun. Damage was serious, as expected, but not ruinous to the point that it would obviously benefit the NWO.
In favor of tectonic weapon: rainbow clouds seen 2 days before quake. Chile was apparently also involved in what has been called a South American arms race and was leading the 'Cold War of the 3rd Millenium'. They had been buying all kinds of arms and military equipment like helicopters from the Russians. They were also one of the most stable S. American countries and the world's #1 producer of copper. Their industrial and agricultural areas were most heavily affected by the quake.

Death toll by next day was about 300. Quake caused far less damage than in Haiti because of building codes and preparedness.

I think its worth mentioning that readings similar to those on teh day of the Haiti quake were also observed on the day of the costa Rican quake in 2009, although damage and loss of life was minimal compared to Haiti.

@allansoz erm no. No artificial magnetic field would be anywhere near that powerful, or be able to penetrate through 6000km of rock. Also, you wouldn't be able to make the core vibrate so precisely to affect just one region of the planet, if you did that the entire world would be affected...

@rawhemi Magnetic forces cause the tectonic movements. ie. if you put two ends of magnets together (we all know the core is a mangnet) the repell. This would shake the ground.
