In the middle, Ratchet meets up with Alister Azimuth. An adult Lombax who knew Ratchet's father. Ratchet trusts him, but in the end, Azimuth KILLS RATCHET. Yes! He does! He's dead! X X! He throws an electric wave at him, and Ratchet falls over the cliff. BUT, Clank travels back in time & saves him.
