Just to let you know - that commercial wasn't for automated stores; I recall it quite well, and it was in fact part of a moderately-long-running MasterCard ad campaign. Such highly-automated stores HAVE been tried on very small scales, but have universally been failures, much as the self-checkout lanes are turning out to be.
