People don't seem to understand why people feel the right to call this fanfic down. YES, fanfiction is mostly done for self-gratification. But the point at which you post a fanfic to the internet for all to see, you are in essence telling the entire internet 'Hey, I'm really proud of this work and want to share it with you! Feel free to offer feedback!'

Needless to say, just like any other writer, fanfic writers SHOULD take some pride in their work, especially in public domain.
