  • This opera was a complete failure. However, this overture has power. I have read that this opera does much to credit Salieri...Wonder why it tanked..

  • Gorgeous, stimulating and majestic!! Bravo!!

  • salieri becomes a more fascinating composer with each work of his that i discover. such a shame that unfounded rumors ruined his reputation.

  • Of course, mozart had to leave under the shadow of Mozart......but clearly Salieri is better than Mozart...alwais!

  • Wow, lavich with dramatic moments throughout, and of course occasionally "big bang" for the audience (to wake them for the begining of opera) - Phenomenal!!!!

(it is incoherent on moments but it was regular think at that time, even Mozart's Cose fan tutte ouverture has vacant moments so, why not- it is lovely anyway!)

  • where did you read that?

  • Thank you for uploading this video. Once, I heard a charming melody which ,after, I was seeking for a long time. I finally found it. Thank you so much!
