Making SMART Cool: Interview with Prince Ea. [2010]

This was an interview with Prince Ea, one of my favourite underground hip hop artists, for the purposes of my university paper (a non-fictional narrative piece). Co-founder of the Make "SMART" Cool movement, he is one of the numbered lyrical MC's in the game.

If you appreciate socially and politically conscious hip hop along the lines of Immortal Technique, Jedi Mind Tricks and Canibus, you'll want to look into him. If you're not even into hip hop, look into him and you can find hip hop goes beyond money, cars and "hoes".

However if you are only appreciative of mainstream garbage, I warn you to not exceed beyond this point in case you risk damaging your intellectual limits in comprehending the existence of MEANING in MUSIC.

Keep hip hop alive, and support him. SUPPORT REAL HIP HOP!

me im a rapper and yes im white and i get glances like he cant rap for shit but what happened to if you can spit u can spit and i got a couple of deals to be mainstreamed and i said flat out fuck that u cant change my style u change my style you change me i love music to death and its a way for me to express myself and this interview just showed me that there are real cats out there that wont sell out hip hop 4 money that you so much for this it makes me look at the optimistic side.......
