  • The main message I gleaned was that "Time Out" , and "Taking Away What the Child is Attached to as punishment" .....which are used in North America...... cause the child to not want to develop deep relationships with their parents knowing that the parents will use those things learned against them. The suggested methods all require focusing on maintaining the relationship and the child wanting to deepen the relationship.
