Sorry to hear that, I can see why that would happen especially if you use it for long task. It is too small, great for quick little things that require a bigger screen than an iphone.

Hey if you have a windows xp disc, just download a program called "win-setup from usb", this program worked perfect for my windows sp2 disc. it copies all the xp disc files to a flash drive and makes it bootable.

@TheRunning4life -- yes, ive been using this EEEPC900 for three years now. the battery is great... as far as im using it. if the battery is full before using it, it will last for 2 hrs. but it depends on how you use it, if its for typing jobs , about 2 and half.. im using it in playying plants vs zombies and the battery lasts for about 1 or almost 1 & half hours, music-- about less than 2 hrs, and video/movie , internet, 1 hr.. not bad with small notebook... tested and guaranteed....

would this work great for listening to music and watching video in planes? and i know that the battery sucks im asking if the video lags while it plays and does the screen does a great job of showing pic and photos?

this program is compatible with SP2, SP3, vista, and windows 7. p.s. vista is not the best option for the eee pc unless it is overclocked. google it, this is the easiet way to put xp on a flash drive! i will have a vid for it soon.
