13-35 Muskegon Comeback vs Davison 38-35 2008

One of the most historic football comeback from behind victories in Muskegon's prestigious history. At Spartan stadium in Lansing, Big Reds roar back after nearly all of its crowd leaves early after trailing 22 points nearing the beginning of the 4th quarter, which would have ended Muskegons undefeated streak and booted them from the playoffs. Big Reds never say die and come back to win the game which in turn makes them 13-0 and leads them to the State Finals which they win the following week.

Unbeaten Muskegon, rated No. 1 in one national ranking, scored 19 points in the final 4:31, taking the lead on a 20-yard run by slot receiver Greg Wickliffe with 42 seconds remaining. Including two successful back to back on side kicks by Muskegon's senior kicker Jubenal Rodriguez. An interception in the end zone by Elan Banks on the final play of the game put a wrap on one of the most amazing comebacks in Michigan State playoff history.

@D1Champ08 D1 champ in 08... im just going to assume rockford won it that year too, don't remember. I hope we can get redemption this year against you guys. Last years game was such a letdown. Its always a good rivalry. Its much more fun when its a friendly rivalry, more often than not it gets ugly online. I hate that.

@caseytheloring haha ino right. i played on the 07 and 08 rockford squads, so i'm .500 lifetime against muskegon, i'll take that! LOL. i have much respect for most musky players. they do more "doing" and a lot less "talking" than many of the other FAR inferior teams we played. I always pull for them to take home the gold in D2 as well. in 08 both us and musky brought back the gold, it was pretty sick to see two teams in the same conference to win state championships, says a LOT about the OK RED!
