Tarja- o mio babbino caro

este es mi primer video espero que les guste, es de tarja cantando o mio bbabino caro, el sonido esta un poco bajo asi que subanle el volumen para poder escucharlo bien ...gracias....

@p1n3da I think their point is Tarja does not sing in operas. Tarja has most certainly sung individual arias from operas before, but she is not an opera singer. She has not been in a full blown opera production before - think Wagner's Ring, Mozart's Flute, etc. There's a fine line between classically trained singer and pro opera singer. This is an aria FROM the opera Gianni Schicchi but she is not IN the opera. You get what I'm saying?

What a beautiful and feminine voice! She could have been with ease the greatest opera ever had.

I am glad it worked this way, metal also needed a voice of reference and a real "diva".

@12321marianne We are two different people, we don't even always agree. Your account looks a whole lot more like a clone account than ours: no history, no favorite videos, no featured videos. I don't deny that Tarja has a nice voice, much better than pop singers today. You just don't seem to get how different it is to sing an aria and to sing a role in full opera. Oh, and again, her major was chamber music not opera, a voice can be fine for one but not the other. Anyway, "what if" is pointless.

@12321marianne You're the one who is inflamed...because you can't stand the fact that there are people who say that your favorite singer could never be an opera singer. Deal with it. Tarja isn't opera material, but then Beverly Sills was never pop material. So what.

And you make me laugh. Both of your examples of opera singers with mics are outdoor venues. You have no valid arguments so you hurl insults at people who disagree with you. if Tarja were an opera singer she would have sung roles in complete operas. She has not. just because she CHOSE rock and popera doesn't mean that she could have been an opera singer. jewelmarkess's comments are all valid.

@12321marianne You obviously know nothing of opera singing as you have said Tarja could have been the greatest opera singer ever. Only someone ignorant about opera would say that. Tarja is a pop opera singer who sings isolated arias. There's nothing wrong with being a popera singer. It's a musical genre just as opera is a musical genre. BTW, I'm not fond of opera singers trying to sing pop music either. Their big operatic voices are all wrong for pop.
