Its probably more accurate for Howard to be saying tolerance instead of resistance but it's the same result.

The scientific research has been published and is readily available online. One species, Anopheles albimanus, a species partly responsible for malaria in Central America is totally resistant to Deet! I met a camerman who was recently filming in the Amazon rainforest and was bitten to pieces whilst using 100% deet!

Who would use a Deet product anyway! That stuff will kill people too. Plenty of better ways to keep the mozzies off without poisoning yourself as well.
