PROMOTING HOMECARE

Wouldn't it be great to live our final remaining years of life with dignity and independence at home. With Home Care this is possible as it creates independence, self worth, while maintaining an overall well being (physically and mentally) through the many services that it offers.

Using this to promote District Nursing to health students enabled me to show why we work so hard to enable patients to remain at home. Very good, impacts upon the heart strings and crossess over different age ranges.

I just want to say great job with the video....very touching!!!!i have father whom i am not close wit and his disabled. Im not living wit him cuz of our relationship but i try to be his life...i wanted to place him long-term care facility but my father didn't want to go......so when ever i have the time i go to his place and visit him.keep up the good:)bye

Oh and I wanted to let you know I posted a link to this video on my facebook to promote some awareness of the issue. Facebook is in part a large community of youth and I think that the voice of the young is loud and maybe if we stand up and speak loud enough about the issue, the message will reach farther and higher. I found this video so touching. I worked for a short time in a long-term care facility and my heart broke for many of the people staying there - seeing many deprived of an independance many of us take for granted. You could tell in their eyes how they felt helpless and confined.

I think this is an amazing message. I live in Canada also, and I think that this video should be shown to our leaders and hopefully get them to wake up and make some changes in healthcare. Very moving message.

wow.. time I saw a video abt Home Care. I think hospitalization is a big issue these days because people do think they're life is over once they get admitted to hospital

Thanks for making this video, I think its very knowledgable/empowering for viewer to see what homecare can offer them in case they ever need it or want to refer their loved one. If I get sick I would definately seek homecare b/c i don't want to feel like a prisoner in hospital when i can have same care at my own home!
