The sponsee from hell won't take suggestions, what's a sponsor to do? Write a song about it thats what!
Sponsorship is hard enough without these little 13 stepping junkie brats taking advantage of your time.

Can lesbian's sponsor females or is that not considered predatory 13th stepping. Sounds like someone wants all the new girls to hate and trust only them. Gay women have been using this tactic for decades as well to get into the pants of the new girl. Advice to all newcomers, if anyone makes an advance(of the sexual nature) avoid them like the plague, because they do not have your best interest in mind!

@Foldemchamp1 Anyone can sponsor a newcomer. Hopefully the group looks out for new people helping them avoid potentially inappropriate behavior. I sponsor lesbians & straight women. I know many lesbians who sponsor straight women & do a beautiful job. I also know there are a lot of amazing men, primarily old timers who sponsor men and women alike. Everything is by suggestion only & yet again, this song is simply playful. Not controversial. I avoid controversy. We each must be true to ourselves.

Congrats, this is really funny. One of the fundamental basics of a healthy recovery from practising, active addiction, is to develop a sound capacity to laugh at oneself, at one's past episodes, & to adopt a lightness & humour about it all ... but, of course, as with all such humour, there IS a real message to learn from inside of it all, too ...

@SloppyMoose Actually they can. Back in the day when there weren't many women around the 12 step programs (and in some areas it's still like this) females either got a male sponsor or they didn't have a sponsor at all. Having a sponsor of the same sex is only a suggestion, it's not anywhere in the first 164 pages of the big book. Not that I would suggest a female should get a male sponsor. I'm very for women sticking with the women and men sticking with the men.
