Awesome. I've had it emerged on my system for a while, I'll mess with it until I get satisfaction. Ta for the tip.

I'm trying to get ecomorph to work on Arch... followed a couple of guides and I can't seem to get any effects to work.... not sure what i'm doing wrong... I load the module, log out, open ecomorph, select effects that I want... eg: wobbly windows, apply it... and nothing.... any ideas?

@Linux4UnMe I would suggest posting a comment on the official ecomorph sit , or try in #e on irc.freenode.net
You can find out more about it here: code.google.com/p/itask-module/wiki/Stuff

What are you using to record the desktop? I get screen tearing when using ffmpeg.

@Neuwo I'm using recordmydesktop. It takes a bit of fiddling to get it working just right with no artifacts, but it's pretty quality. Just google recordmydesktop.

To get this working on gentoo I used vapier's e17 overlay to build e17 and all its deps, then I uninstalled the e module and followed the ecomorph build instructions on its website. To find it google for "stuff itask" and it should be the first link. That being said, I think there is a new ecomorph overlay that does it all for you, but I haven't tried it. As for FreeBSD I am not sure that it would work, but you never know. The build process has gotten much easier so I would just give it a shot.

Gentoo, but distro doesn't really matter.
