ummm, not really. The name comes from when compulsory figures were a part of the sport. Figures were phased out a while ago, but they consisted of skaters tracing patterns in either a figure 8 or serpentine figure. They were very difficult to master and boring for viewers. Even though figure are no longer a part of the sport, the name remains.

Figure skating. Skating with posture, (figure). If your figure is not correct in moves, you have a small chance of landing them. are you a skater? This is a very big part in the alex move.

no. she looks preliminary to me, personally. I'm in open juvenille, i have two axels, one being an axel toe, and three doubles. my combination spin is a camel pancake, stork, to a back sit.

Wow! You make it look so easy. That was great! I wish I could skate like that.
P.S. one question
Why do they call it figure skating if there is only one move you do with the word figure in it? (figure eight) Is there more. Please reply. That has just been going through my mind.

I love this song, but I prefer the original version, in portuguese. Nice skating :D

Hi!
Thanks for making the "in the middle vidclip" available. Do you know where I can get all of that video (Forsyth at mariinsky) ?
good to see you have som Norwegian blood !
Try argentinian tango if you like something else, but also a very addictive way to move/dance to music.
