In recent days, rebel groups have been hit hard by pro-Gaddafi forces. The situation on the ground remains uncertain, but latest reports suggest those loyal to Muammar Gaddafi, the Libya leader, have recaptured Azzawiya - 30 km to the west of Tripoli. The frontline is now moving towards the east. Just who is winning this conflict? And are hopes that the Libyan leader would be ousted proving premature?

  • @aniza116 It happened because the Libyans were one inspired by the revolutions in Egypt and Tunisia, two they were tired of Gaddafi who has ruled the country for 42 years, and then they started fighting because Gaddafi refused to step down and started to kill protesters

  • @ervin920 You are an uneducated fool you know that under Gaddafi the U.S. got cheap oil under a democracy oil prices will double because now they actually have to pay the oil workers money and the fact of the matter is the revolution started as a result of what happened in Tunisia and Egypt plus America only fought for less then 2 weeks all the military support has been coming from the British and France

  • Gaddafi will just be replaced by yet another radical islamic government. I honestly don't see why the US is supporting either side, it won't actually be any better.

  • Its happening right now - Google and read "are america and china preparing for war?"

  • libya need our help, libya need our pray, libya needs freedom, Libya need a friend the rebels are dying but they are dying with honor, fighting for freedom, how many families lost their husbans, people who support gadhafi, do you have a little love? If we are togheder whe can win, we can have freedom, we can smile, but if gadhafi wins you will not have freedom, maybe your childs will forced to be a suicide bomb, do you whant that, do you whant to die or do you whant to live, it's on your hands.

  • i dont understand how this conflict began.

anibody can explai to me how this began?

  • @Fudgey123873434 See here is the problem there are right that I want as well as many other American wants that isn't available to us. As time goes by our right will be eventually reduced and limited by the people who run this country. The 3 branches of the check and balance system of the US government they are all in the same boat. When it comes down to the true check and balance it's only between the people and branches of the US government.

  • Well it's obvious NATO and the rebels have won. Game over Gaddafi. But of course, that ugly cunt is going to keep fighting a guerilla war and attacking Libya from Niger. More blood will soon be on his hands. I pray that he gets a bullet in the head very very soon.

  • @5687678 See, Western countries don't have these rebellions because they aren't lead by brutal dictators, and they have full rights and human freedoms. Grow up.

  • The Colonel is fighting against the strongest nations much linger than France against Nazi in 40. These hypocrite just shout about human rights but there will be no rights when mission of sharing the oil accomplished. Does anybody believe that France politician and others think a lot about human rights in anywhere?
