Loud fun with a couple of old V8's! (v8jagnut's place)

We ran limited fuel and static water cooling in the block so the runs were short but fun!

the 350 is on a Australian Approved (350 conversion) Jaguar Series 1 Front end, and is for sale in the Melbourne Area

  • Hi guys,

Ive bought an AC Cobra kit and Im sitting with the 351 and 350. If you were in my shoes what which one would you use. Im also planning on fotting a supa charger to it.

  • @donovankay I would go with the 351, its a Ford and has a distinct sound to it too. flat-plane crank shaft :D

  • ahahah Notice how the Ford motor starts straight away and the chevvy takes a few goes? ahahahahahah

  • @EFseries2 Chev was dry when I started with it. Ford was primed and warm.

They are both good V8's that I would put in a car anyday :D

  • Nice !!!!!!! Make some noise, Great vid

  • @HDXFH oh yeh :D damn it was loud!

  • Lots of people hating on the 350. It was definitely GM's best engine Hands-Down. Lots of aftermarket parts, easy to build, cheap to build, makes some great horsepower and torque for not much money. GM wins with the 5.7l engines. However, Fords 5.0 is wayyyy better than GM's 305 (5.0)

  • lol watch the belts

  • ahhh I love that sound!

  • CLEVELAND..

  • @canadacatalyst Yeah, I agree. It was produced for decades, has a huge aftermarket, and is interchangeable among various GM transmissions. That doesn't make it the best. Versatile..yes. Best...not even close. I have rebuilt many 350s after only 10-20K miles and once bought a brand new 1987 K10 and had the block crack on the way home from the showroom. If not for the interchangeability and aftermarket, these engines would not be so popular. 351>350 every time.

  • @landon460 the chev 350 is one of the best most versatile engines to ever come from detroit. it is the most popular and cheapest to rebuild. there is a reason it has been manufactured since '53 i believe.
