  • We disagree. This generator runs two air conditioners, all our computers, the TV and radio equipment, telephones, etc. The natural gas is much more efficient than diesel. There's no need to refill it and it can run as long as you need it - like being without power in the Northeast for two weeks. Is it a good idea to run a diesel generator in the "boot" of your car?

  • It isn't overkill for us. This Kohler generator runs the entire house. It runs on NATURAL gas and is efficient and cheap to operate. The transfer switch is golden. It automatically senses the loss of power and starts the generator. Yes, it runs the entire house (two air conditioners - it is the South - and two furnaces) as well as fridge, etc.

  • how stupid my backup generator will run the entire house its diesel and will fit in the boot of my car. no need for all this crap.

  • take some of that money and paint your house!!!!!

  • efficient??? when you're done payin the mortgage on the generator itself, you better hope the power goes out...jeezuz, for the probability of losing power and how long it'll be out... my 300 dollar(used) coleman 7500 watt generator runs my whole house too!!!

i suppose this video was meant for the CEO's in this country who are making more money in bonuses than i make in a year!!!

    nice stuff though!!

  • overkill....waste of money

  • Considering a decent sized 14-17KW standby unit is going to consume a 150lb tank of propane every few days when running a whole house, I would HATE to see the gas bill for that one! What is that? 80KW? Yikes!

  • Yep. Thats a big generator---its taller than he is!!! I have a 1200 watt one that will run my fridge and charge a couple of batteries. His is def overkill.

  • it is a good idea but really costs alot of mony. i use two pull string genartors and have some gas on standby. i uisly run the furnes, my frige., and freeser , and some other stuff. ow and if i spell stuff wrong i was just in a hurry.

  • That transfer switch is bigger than my generator...
