  • Booting test ist not valid while both sistems must to start diferent aplications (Live Messenger on Windows, Skype on MacOS).

Test must be on a clean install and stop "timers" when the desktop is shown.

  • @ado543 Don't mind, it is not a partial comparation!

  • @ado543 All that does is help prove my point. If Mac's only have 8GB of system data and almost no launch programs to boot then it should boot much faster then windows. But it doesn't its about the same for the system boot. Also note that some 3rd-party programs on windows, boot with the system rather then after login. and that will cause the system to take a bit longer to boot.

  • @HyperSTAND I can open as many windows of Safari as I want on a Mac.

  • @sourlime151 Mac OS is just about finished booting when it shows the desktop, but Windows still has to finish loading even after showing the desktop. For a typical user, Windows has to load antivirus programs and other things like that, whereas most people don't use these programs on a Mac. Therefore, in the real world Mac OS finishes loading after the desktop is shown much quicker than Windows.

  • @MiguelAngelMG24 Windows typically takes longer to finish loading everything after the desktop is shown than Mac OS. On a lot of Windows systems it can take a while for all the programs in the system tray to load, but it is typically quicker on a Mac.

  • can i word word or powerpoint plz answer

  • Comparing Windows boot time to mac is just stupid, Windows is 20gb, OS X is 8gb, The fact that the boot times are even close just proves OS X boots slow. It only has to boot 8gb of system data while Windows has 20gb of system data.

  • they forgot to mention...the pc on the left was 1k less than the mac on the right...lol

  • @alexkstout who say Mac cant crash,Yes they can! Have you ever thought why you cannot open many window of the same software like safarai, while on window you can??? Because most virus these day doing is spamming window to appear until your computer crash. Apple only sale high end product. So when you bought a mac you bough a high end. For the reason why your pc crash because of old hard drive, bad ram,bad videocard, too much junk.. These thing Mac have too!
