  • These are wonderful vids of Mundy Lowe.. whom I was fortunate to see live here in San Diego a couple weeks ago.. what I fear is that his incredible musical legacy of associations from Charlie Parker, Ray Brown, Sara, Ella, an amazing career of writing and performing.. there needs to be a documentary series done of this guys fabulous life (ran away from home in Mississippi at 13!) and contributions to american music. he's 88 and still swings...somebody please step up!!!

  • @Canamjay

I would certainly agree with you. I am lucky enough to have met Mundy on a few occasions and he not only is a great Guitar player but also a beautiful person as well

Hopefully someone will make a film about him as he is one of the few remaining greats still around

  • That was one the most different..

    YET...

Coolest arrangements for Satin Doll I've ever heard.

Mundell Lowe's AND Louis Stewart' Guitar Solos were SERIOUSLY tasteful as well. Great band backing these Cats up too!

    Awesome post, Thanks!

  • you are most welcome, and thank you for the comments

  • very nice

  • Due grandi chitarristi e un ottima orchestra . Classica e swing !!! Meglio di cosi non si può.

  • The perfect Jazz guitar sound, Mundell with Ibanez Lawsuit and Jazz chorus.

He play smooth and light, i love this sound !

I bought a Lawsuit caus' of this vidéo !

    Awesome jazzbox

  • Yes, sir. The arranger of the strings mixed up the Doll with aphrase from Beethoven´s 6th. Unfamiliar sort of Chamber Music, but nice.

  • Hi deangelico

    Thanks for reply.

I have watched the other clips and find them

equally brilliant, but this video is the one I

    prefer.

Jim and Louis are so compatable.
