Whoever made this video really missed the point. The song is a criticism of how the United States has lost its way.

While celebration shook the air, We turned to hear some shots, There's ones that have been here far too long, We think they've lost the plot

Basically says that when the hypothetical refugees got to the states they realised that those who came before them had forgotten the hardships that drove their ancestors to America and had in turn become the tyrants.
