I wonder what would happen if you were parked in a puddle or mud. Or during the winter time when snow is on the ground, and ice, and uneaven ground. Or ya, and I wonder how this door would do with freezing rain, since it seems the window has to lower for the door to work. Amagine the maintenance on these, your power window motor blows, oh crap my door won't go down. Good idea, but not for everywhere.

How am I going to put my pens and junk in the little pocket on the door? What happens to all that stuff when I can’t see it any more? My pens and junk can’t be trusted to behave when not in full view at all times. They will find a motor or gear and jam themselves in the most expensive place they can find.

As a firefighter, I'd like to know about extrication - using spreaders and cutters to remove the doors in order to access patients inside a wrecked car. Has JATECH thought about that?

Oldsmobile did it with the rear (5th) door on the 1972 Vista Cruiser. Nothing new here. And in a crash that jams your door shut it doesn't matter much whether the door opens in, out, up, or down; if it's jammed shut it is jammed shut.  C'est la guerre.
