Slashing may not cut deeply enough thru heavy clothing, but with the right blade, the right sharpened edge and the proper technique it becomes easy as slicing butter. It is very important to note that defending one self with a proper tool, and a proper training mindset avoids legal challenges. Most view the blade as a weapon,in the hands of a defender it is a tool.Used for cutting string,to prying a lid off. When in a lethal threat,or serious bodily harm,to one self or to the public,it can become classified legally as a weapon of opportunity. In this case there is no reason to kill, main or disfigure. With proper training it is more effective to bio mechanically shut down the attackers arms, and legs. Therefore defending one self with reasonable force meant to repel force with force.

One of the few clips that does not advertise "lethal" or "deadly" techniques to "do the bastard right". Instead you show something that is in accordance with modern times and with legislations in most countires. Cit the arm and the leg. That makes you safe, and in case things go to court you still have good chances.
Very very good clip.
take care and have a nice day

@blacksilkblacksilk The bio mechanical theory can be found on CSSDSC.com.We use the edged weapon in the use of force model just after kinetic and blunt tools intervention options. That means we have one more option before using lethal force with a firearm.I find it amazing that it still has not become S.O.P for most Law Enforcement agencies. It still is considered incidental weapon of opportunity.
