Created as a basic modern dance history project, the choreography was based off the style of Merce Cunningham. The background "music" was created in the style of John Cage. As with Cage and Cunningham the music and dance were created independently and joined together for the performance. Members of the class sit around the performers in order to demonstrate Cunningham's idea that there is no 'front' (as a dancer faces another direction that becomes his or her new 'front'). Performers are Eric, Brandon, Lina, and Althea.

  • Genius, this truly resembles Mr. Cunnigham's work, especially the unitards, lol. So sad that he recently passed.

  • some cool coincidences in the music and performance
